About

An editorial site about website maintenance and small-business web care, edited by Robert Thomas.

Updated

Site Nurturing publishes practical guides for people who look after a small website. The readers we have in mind are small-business owners, sole traders and freelancers in the US and the UK, and the one-person web designers who look after sites for clients.

The byline on every guide is: Site Nurturing editorial team, edited by Robert Thomas. Robert Thomas is the editor. The site does not publish a biography beyond that name.

What this site is

These are neutral, sourced guides. Site Nurturing does not sell maintenance retainers, hosting or rescue projects. The method, including how drafts are edited, is set out on How we review.

The domain

From 2002 to 2008 the name Site Nurturing was used by a website maintenance and CMS agency in San Diego. Public captures of that site fade out by 2011. That business appears to have closed. This domain later changed hands.

This site has no connection with that agency. We do not offer its services, and we do not use its logo, its text or a trademark mark after the name. If you were a customer of the San Diego firm, this website cannot help with that account.

How the site is funded

Some pages link to products and, later, may link to services such as hosting. If you buy through those links we may earn a commission, including through the Amazon Associates programme. The commission does not change what a guide recommends. The full statement is on the affiliate disclosure page.
